Will do. Everything I've read about these bikes is true, except the part about them being torture racks. The engine is marvelous! I'm not sure if its due to the low gel seat, but its not bad for comfort. Sure, some heli bars wod be the hot ticket, but everything else is great. I love how slim it is.

I've always wanted a triumph. Could never find one close enough/at the right price. I would definitely pull the trigger on it. I settled for a cbr.

OP, I hate you. I was completely content with the idea of purchasing a CBR500R in the next year or so, being blissfully unaware of the Triumph Daytona's existence. Now...

    ...I am absolutely in love.

Sorry bud, my bad. I've only ridden the bike twice as I had to leave on vacation after getting it, but the bike is amazing! Lots of usable torque, and fun to ride. A bit of a committed riding position, but some aftermarket clip on's will remedy that.

Did you end up getting the 675? I had an 04 R6 for a while and put 10k miles on it abour 5 months and loved it but took a 675 for a test ride and fell in love with it.

That will be my next bike, I definatly have a hard on for the 675:headbang:

I did buy the 675, and I love it! The engine is amazing, and I love how slender and manuverable the bike is. I'm only 5'-9"/ 155 lbs and it's very easy to manhandle for me. Makes my previous CRF600F4i I had years ago seem twice the size. I think just some heli-bars, a tail tidy and some flush mount front signals and this bike will be perfect!

Damnit I think y'all may have convinced me into the Daytona as well. I too was blissfully unaware it existed until a friend of mine showed them to me, schwing!

It seems like they go for a little more money but not a whole lot more. And I find myself looking at say a gixxer and going "5 grand? Pass..." but a 675 at the same price holds my attention. I think that means my decision has been made for me. Seems like a few of you own them, anything long term that goes wrong with them? Not too worried on parts availability since I usually order everything anyway but the Japanese bikes have had time to prove their reliability up to 40, 50k miles but the Triumph is a little newer bike. The one I'm currently looking at is an 07. I'm gonna check it out sometime next week (hopefully he'll let me ride it) and want to know what to look at for stuff that is a common problem.

I'm not totally set on it, still looking at everything that's a sport bike and in the 600cc range. If the right deal comes along, I'm not particular to any brand (yet). I currently have a Ninja 250 that I probably should sell before buying anything else, but funds are available if the right thing pops up

No contest in my opinion. Bike looks just retarded sexy, has the best engine in a mid sized bike, and it's fun to ride...done! It always gets looks when I go out, as there aren't many around where I live, but everyone has an R6, Gixxer, etc. I don't regret buying the bike one bit.
