So I had a Die Hard platinum in my GX470. Dual posts to be able to hook up accessories like the winch and lights. Seems like they have been discontinued...

Anything comparable out there and what would fit in the stock location? Don't want the dual battery setup..

Interested as well i will be installing a Warren M8000 and was wondering if i can safely operate it without a dual battery kit. I still have my stock battery.

As an aside. Toyota seems to have cheaped out on the oem 2016 battery. My Bro has a 2015 Tacoma Trd Or and I have a 2016 Trd OR. Same trucks, different years. Parked side by side comparing trucks, and we noticed that my 16 came with a smaller battery from the factory, than my brothers 15. Smaller in physical size as well a CC Amps and Reserve. And considering that I seem to have a lot more electronics in my truck than his, (heated seats, Mirrors etc). That alone convinced me that I need to upgrade my oem battery for my 10,000 Smitty.

yea, not sure it is up to the task of a winch and lights.

Do you have the tow package? It comes with a bigger battery I think.

I do but I wouldn't consider that a bigger battery. Looking for something run the winch and lights off.

Yes my 16 has the Tow package, as my brothers 15 also does. My battery is smaller than his. All 2016 Trd Off Road's A C's came stock from the factory with the tow package here in Canada.

I just figured out that the 3rd gen with tow package doesn't have the GP 27 battery. I'm not sure there's room.

    Basic overland stuff...
I'm running a Northstar in the stock location with a M8000, Engel 45l and 2-ARB leds no issues at all. Highly recommend it.

An Optima 27F fits in there perfectly.
