Should be in the Wheels and Tires Forum instead of everything getting dogpiled into 2nd Gen Forum.

If it bothers you then report the thread and mods will move it. I do this occasionally.

I just came to the conclusion that I'm getting some General Grabber AT 2's...

60,000 mile warranty. 285/75R16 for 700, and I'm close enough to pick 'em up from TireRack. Sold.

TRD Cat-back Exhaust. Semi-Debadged. Trimmed down stock Antenna. Weathertech vent visors. TRD FJ Cruiser Center Cap Wheel Mod. 265/75/16 Firestone Destination A/T,s . Inverter tapped into for outlet in cab. Tacomaworld sticker which adds 5 hp.
Meh, my dad has these tires. He said they ride nice. But they look better in the picture then they do in person. The sides like balloon out and the actual tread is not that wide. Strange looking tire.

Honestly I don't know. He has a Chevy Colorado, not sure what size they are. You just may want to see them in person 1st. Why are you not going with an All Terrain? IMO I wouldn't think those would be that great off road.

I agree, I saw a set in 265/75-16 on a chevy pickup and they did look strange.

I was really thinking about getting a set, then when I saw them on that truck I changed my mind.

They look like a 1970's balloon tire with the tread pattern tatoo'd on.

LOL, exactly. Its weird how they balloon out like that and the tread is thin.

Yokohama Geolander AT/S. They run them on desert racers, great for street as well, cheap on Discount Tire Direct. Many sizes available. I haven't run them in snow or loose dirt but if they're good enough for a desert racer, they're okay by me.

They do tend to tramline though; squirm a bit on grooved highways with my 265/70/17s.

I've got Wrangler Silent Armor and I'm surprised they are so quiet and smooth on the highway with a relatively aggressive tread pattern. I was just 4 wheeling through some really loose desert wash sand and I was surprised that I had no problems. When it is time for replacement, I will check back on this forum for the latest recommendations just to stay current. Also, I had pretty good snow traction a few weeks ago on pretty steep snow covered muddy road.

I got ya, my truck is a my DD too, but thats the exact reason I went with all terrains. From what I understand as long as you rotate people are getting 60,000 or more out of all terrains. Specially the BFG A/T or the Generals and the Nittos. Me personally I wouldn't like the BFG Rugged terrain. To each his own though. Just make sure you see them in person on a truck if you still want those. I don't think you would like them in person.

I just got the Nitto Terra Grapplers and so far I like them alot. No snow yet so can't say how they are in snow, but quiet on the highway and great in the rain so far.
