Which Tires are Really the Best for the $$$

    Relentless Armored! Too many others to list.
    265's on 17x9's isnt ideal, but I did it with a set in the past on my truck and it was fine. Might change the wear pattern and handling characteristics somewhat though.

    Understood, but the 285 will require trimming and there are very few 275 to pick from.
    But will a tire with a size fitting of 7-8.5 rim size be OK on a 17x9 rim

    My overall lift will be betweeb 2-2.5" after all is done. Will be getting the 17x9 MotoMetal 955 rims.
    If I do go with the 285 in tires and remove the front mud flaps, how much plactic trimming needs to be done (if at all)?
    Is the trimming visible while viewing the truck from the side? And by no means will I do any trimming on metal parts.
    Truck is on a lease right now, but will buy it out eventually.
