I posted this in another thread:

Congrats on your purchase. I put a Fold-A-Cover on my 2011 about a month ago. The construction of the cover is top-notch but the mounting of the side rails and front/rear seals leaves a lot to be desired. Both are held on with 3m tape. I installed the cover as per the directions and still have places on both side rails where the tape didn't stick very well. I don't think 3m tape on a surface with tread (like the factory tacoma plastic bed rail caps) is a god idea at all. The seal at the front of the cover hasn't shown any signs of problems. The rear seal is another story. Several places along this seal have started to come lose. Two of the places are on the sides of the rear latch. The latch is lower than the panel so the seal has to bend where it crosses the latch. There are three other places along the rear seal that have come lose and absorb water every time it rains. It is only a matter of time before I have to remove this seal and replace the tape. The rear panel is designed different than the front panel and is the main reason for the these problems.

I do like the cover but only time will tell if it is going to be more of hassle than it's worth. I have already purchased more tape and adhesion promoter in anticipation of having to replace the tape.

This being said, I would still get the Fold-A-Cover G4 Elite over the Backflip.

Myself I have a truxedo lo pro cover and I love it... he wants a hard cover though. My cover like yours is connected to the rails and is very easy to take off

I have had the G4 Elite on my truck for a year and I've never had a single problem with it. I love it. It takes two people to install it if you do it yourself but I'm really happy with mine.

I bought an Access Roll Up cover for my 2001 Silverado and used it continuously for 10 years - it still looked nearly new with NO wear on the fabric and was still water tight. I just sold the Chev and bought a Tacoma - first thing I did was buy a Access Roll Up cover. Not cheap ($459) but the convenience is worth every penny. It just rolls out with a cam lock over the tailgate and fastens snugly to the sides with velcro.

    Cheers

I went with access roll up to (access limited)too. Fits right into your track system (track system is moved out with supplied spaces) can still use the side track (and maybe the front ones but have not had the need) . Easy install, works easy, rolls up or down quick. Looks good, seals tight. No flapping in wind.

Installed mine in December and no problems in cold.
Is a bit more expensive than other roll ups but if you plan to keep your truck a while you might want to go the quality route.

I have seen trucks around town with some cheaper roll ups and the quality difference is obvious.

I have the Extang Solid Fold cover and love it. It can be installed by one person and can be put on or taken off in just a couple mins.

The only difference with the Extang Solid cover is that it does fold as far back as the Bakflip G2. Oh, and it sits on top of the bed instead of in the bed.

I've got a trifecta soft tonneau, seems pretty good, love the fold up and snap in, comes out really easy too. I was VERY impressed with all the rain we've had lately and everything is dry in there, especially last night when it just absolutely pounded rain.
