Which Toyota Service/Dealer is the best in the San Diego region? So far I have not liked any of them. Which one do you go to for service? Why?

I go to frank Toyota in national city if I ever HAVE to go to a dealer. My buddy shreds their documents and said they were cool so that was how I choose em. Lol never had a problem with them so far.

Got the price I wanted out the door, did a factory order without haggling over what was on the lot, keep me notified on the factory process and made adjustments to keep the factory happy, didn't haggle over upselling, service advisor off-roads too so he takes care of me, and owned up to a mistake they made on the brake recall stayed open after closing to make it right ( only 15 minutes, but still ).

Curious too. My experience buying was absolute shit. I ended up buying from Yuma instead. I need somewhere for service.

I bought my Tundra new from El Cajon, they were pretty good with not trying to sell me on something else since I came in well researched. They got me a solid discount by combining a few which got me into the price range I was looking for. And threw in free all weather floor mats.

I only bring it there for services since they are free, but they are always consistent with calling to set up appointments, and complete them in timely matter (~1hr).

I used to use Poway for parts when I lived there, they were always good for hooking up the price with online quotes.

I used to go to the one on mission gorge. It was okay for the most part. I only used them for the free oil changes, after that I did it myself.

Mossy Toyota in PB. Eddy Ruiz is the guy you want to talk to. Killer service writer with no BS. Takes care of Tacoma people.

    Edit because Eddy switched dealerships.

i go to the one in PB because it's next to the nite owl (beers while i wait instead of stale donuts). don't have any experience with other ones so can't say which is the best.

There’s a thread in the third gen section where one of the techs from Toyota Chula Vista forgot to tighten the lug nuts on a guys truck and the tire flew off on the highway. So there’s that.

My Tacoma was also a factory order via Toyota of Escondido. They were so much better to deal with verses Kearny Mesa, Frank, El Cajon and Miller.

I have split my Toyota Care service between Escondido and El Cajon. Both have done well, but Toyota of Escondido is a little more efficient and completes the work in a timely manner. Escondido didn't give me any grief when I asked for the ECU firmware upgrade. El Cajon performed warranty work on my transfer case, and i had to return for additional work.

Definitely not good, that I can agree with. That said, I'm sure if I brought this to Eddy he'd agree that's unacceptable and be pissed that someone at his dealer let that happen. As well there's only one tech I use there, and I guarantee that tire issue wasn't him.

I'll also add that we all know no dealer, no business, no spec ops military unit for that matter is perfect. They all have their faults. I'll still take my truck back to Eddy.
