Huge decision to be made here. I was given a new water bottle by a vendor yesterday. Do I use the new one or keep ol' reliable?

The new is on the right. As You can see, it has a curvier shape than the old. It also has a carabiner thingy. It is made of stainless steel and is marked "Made in China" on the bottom with the vendor "Veolia Environmental" on one side. Due to the shape and being slightly shorter, it should hold a bit less than the old.

The old is straight sided and slightly taller than the new. While no carabiner, it does have a spout, which I do not use. It is also made of stainless steel with no markings. There are several dents from being dropped over the years.

oh noooo! uhh well this is tough. Okay so lets think logicallly. Being the the old one holds more water, it may be considerable because say you get stranded in the desert, that little mouth full of water can make a huge difference. Buttt that doesn't matter to many if you don't live in the desert. On the other end, the women may think your new bottle is hip and looks modern which may be a benifit. Buttt once again that may not matter if you have a GF or Wife already. Hmmm, Why if you cut the top off the new one and weld in onto the bottom of the old one. then you get the benefit of the caribeaner and the curvy modern look, yet you still have the ol' reliable one. Bam, thats it. Invest in a welder if you done have one, take a precision cutting sawzaw, make a maticultius cut in half. and weld together. don't worry about metal shards because the liver will filter those out. Your welcome

I just tried this. The lids are not interchangeable.

My wife said the new one was a girl because of the curves. If this is true, why would I want to put my lips on the more manly one? Are you projecting?

I do not live in the desert. I use this at my desk, which is 50 feet from the water cooler.
    I am married.
I already have a welder. Gonna need some stainless MIG wire.
My liver died in my 20's.

I do have a fairly large desk and water bottles are known to have poor distance vision. I could keep them at opposite ends of the desk and hope for the best.

Neither. This type is the most appropriate for a work environment.
