    Hi,

I have a soft whine sound coming from the center of the truck, level with where the pedals are. It gets louder and engine speed increases and goes away as I get off the gas regardless of road speed. Anyone ever experience this? Thought I would ask before going to the stealer with it.

Does it whine in neutral while sitting still or only in gear while moving?

Could be your idler wheel bearings on the front of the engine. Remove your drive belt and start the engine. If the whine still persists, you've eliminated a whole bunch of things relating to engine RPM such as alternator, power-steering pump, idlers, belt tensioner, etc.

Stealer told me it was an idler and PS pulley. $450

Pulleys were $90 each so I told them to go ahead and save me from doing it myself (no time), now I realize I just could have sprayed some lube on them.
