I have 14" but if you go hoops through the bed you could go 18" like in @SMKYTXN 's build

Oh I got you. I want to stay in the wheel well so I don't soak the campin gear when I cruise out. 14" should be plenty. You seriously have some mad flex on the rear :goingcrazy:

Thanks! Gotta love the Chevy Leaf Springs. They have enough flex for 16" but we decided to do 14"

14" CO, or even shocks are plenty. 18" is overkill. I agree Gavin keeping the shocks from coming through the bed is a better idea. Have you done much fender trimming up front? Forklift flex is NOTHING compared to forced articulation in the real world.

I haven't done any trimming for the tires yet. I'm waiting for some real world flexxin my man :muscleflexing: I've got so much to do for safety inspection lol I expired last month. At least I got a left mirror, that's a start...

Exhaust is done! Brakes are done! Steering is almost there. I'm re arching the leafs so I don't need an 8" shackle then set pinion angles. A little safety and emissions work then she's driving!

...but would they really fit with those towers? Might go that route if you're not just kidding around here :D

Lol they certainly will! I can get you some numbers tomorrow but I do have room to mount the towers a little higher. Just understand that you will need to have proper backspacing wheels so the tires don't rub at full stuff or you can have longer bump stops to compensate

    Or full width f350 axle!

    But not actually.

Thanks for the back spacing tip, I'll probably have to pick up spaces

I wish I had my 14" shock relocation towers that fit under bed done already, but they are coming soon if you could wait til January.
    http://archivegarage.com/products/taco-shock-relocation
    King 14" travel are 23.25"/37.25"
    King 16" travel are 26.00"/42.00"
Because your truck will be tall and you might not be able to stuff 37s, the 16" might work since it's just 3" longer compressed. You'd have to set your bump stops accordingly

Alright I've been doing a bunch of work but not having time to show everyone. Anyways I got one shock hoop in tonight. The money train ran clean out so I bought the cheapest I could find. I will get some kings in a couple weeks. I wanna run this thing so bad! Speedo doesn't work, I screwed somethin up haha anyways I set pinion angles aligned the front then i went for a couple rides in er to break in the gears.

Another update for you guys planning on doing this. I took er on the freeway even without rear shocks. :bikewhoops: Haha and I could actually let go of the wheel at around 80 mph and it tracked perfect! With rear shocks it should handle better than the pro comp. I have almost zero bump steer because the drag link, panhard bar, and tie rod are all parrellel. 4.88 gears will do fine on the freeway (about 2300 rpm somewhere around 70) and have plenty of torque down low. The adjustability in the coilovers is a must for me from now on. It makes or breaks how it handles when you take it on and off the road. Driving Has a little more body roll than my 6 inch without a sway bar but not a huge difference. The lockers will blow your friggin mind if you've never had them. That is all.

I Have put over 500 miles on er now. Traveled to 2 different states and done snow wheeling all around. Haven't hit any rocks yet. My speedometer situation is about to be solved, hasn't worked since I got the truck running. It's connected to the ABS and I ripped everything out lol the thread to fix that is here http://www.rocksolidtoys.com/forum/showthread.php?t=164. I installed some pro comp dampeners in the rear for now. Wait till spring when I can afford the kings. The rear fender flares have ripped off and I'm not sure how to fix that yet o_O I beat the heck out of this thing but it still tracks straight :bananadance: The Chevy 63 springs (3 leafs) are too soft and I'm going to add a leaf or two when I get time for it. I hope to see a couple of you out in Moab at rock therapy this year!
