I've got mag grey too. I put mine on black out and prefer that. But for what it costs to demount, flip, remount, and balance the tires I'd just suck it up and leave it or take some sandpaper to the white lettering.

Thanks for all of the replies. Yeah, I hated white out on this color combo at first, but it is kind of growing on me now, esp. since the white has faded a little and doesn't glare at me from underneath the dark truck.

Still eyeballing the "gray letters", but I am too chicken to mess up and be left with black as my only option.

It's kinda obvious on this site that the majority would say black out. Nothing wrong with that, just obvious. I think the white letters make a good contrast to the rest of the truck in this case.

If you put the black out, you'll look like every other tacoma on this website... Go white out - be different. Don't follow the herd.

The wheels fit fine (I have the 6 lug 4x4). They bolted right up and away I went. I purchased them as a wheel/tire set from tirerack.com even though fourwheelparts.com had them cheaper at the time. Fourwheelparts swore that they would not fit my truck... so I was afraid they had the chevy wheels with same bolt pattern but different hub size or something. I didn't want to mess with it at the time, but If you could check the part numbers you might be able to get them cheaper there, with assurance that they will fit.

sweet, exactly what i wanted to hear. that was another thing i was afraid of, the bore being the wrong size.

stock lugs wont fit right? what lug nuts are you using, where did you get them from?

oh btw, i say keep the white out..it looks pretty good.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention the lugs. Tirerack throws them in for free along with the thin walled socket/adaptor needed to get into the confined space of the lug bores. If you got them somewhere else, I would have no idea what size/type of lug nuts to ask for. I'm sure someone around here has that information though.

heh........I had the intention of getting my duratracs installed with black letters out, however during my explanation to him of how to swap the TPMS sensors (take it from the steel wheel and put it in the new wheel, its not hard ) I forgot to tell him to put the black letters out. Anyways needless to say he installed them with the white letters out.

Despite that not being my intention, I really like the white letters out! Gives good contrast to a completely back Tacoma, and goes well with the Moto Metals.

I agree I am a tight a$$ but I am lazy, so I do not like the maintenance required to keep the white out either but I would not change now if I were you unless they really bother you as is.

Flashsf, your Tacoma REALLY made me second guess my fear that black out would just be too much on a mag gray with dark wheels. That is a beautiful truck.

Thanks, for what its worth I was debating the same issue..white out vs black out right up till the time they were ready to mount the tires....either way you go will be great....
