Finally biting the bullet for an '08 TRD quad cab 4x4 and can't decide between silver and white. Love the white but I spend a considerable amount of time off-road and plan on keeping the truck for a few years. Thinking the silver may hold up a bit better for hiding road grime/dirt, gravel chips and overall wear and tear. Can't decide....thoughts and opinions welcome, thanks.

Any light color is better at hiding stuff as opposed to a dark color. I've always liked silver, it's a good choice. Although I've never been a fan of white vehicles, I really like the white Tacomas with black accessories.

I have silver.. my old '99 was maroon.. I bought barely used from a co-worker and he got silver.. I would have gone white if I bought new.. Silver I find is very easy to see the small scratches in the matallic paint..

I've had both colors before. I prefer the silver. My 96 S-10 had 212,000 miles on it. The paint still looked great. I got compliments all the time. It only showed dirt if ya cleaned another part of it!!!

I had an 06 that was silver and a 08 that is super white. I think the silver looks best when it is a little dirty but when both are clean and waxed I think the white is better looking. I don't know the exact number but there also seems to be far less white Tacomas driving around TX.

White on my last two trucks for a reason.

Besides matching the trailer I sometimes pull, they are easier to keep looking clean. ;)

17 replys so far, 8 white, 2 neutral, 7 silver.
