I will ask him about it, but I am sure if you look into a freight company and want to get it set up, so he just has to be present for pick up he might be ok with it. I just feel like shipping costs on top of cost for the shell would be pretty close to a new one by the end of it any way, no?

I came to an agreement with a gent that lives a little less than six hours from me. I'm paying more, but it's a SnugTop with the roof rack and he's throwing in his sleeping/storage platform he made for it too.

Buyer backed out, said it was going to cost too much to have it paint-matched.

 

I'm looking for one of these for a 2011 long bed Tacoma. (How much did he say it would cost to color match?)

What color is this one? White? My truck is grey but white goes with anything.

 

Supposedly what the person told my father was they were quoted $500-$700 to have it painted. I have no idea where they got their info but it seems high to me.

 

That sounds about right. I heard it could possibly be as high as a grand to have one color matched.
Does it have a 12 volt (wired) interior light or a battery (AA) light?

I'm in Santa Maria, CA, btw.

 

In my personal opinion, masking it off and hittin it with some rattle can bed liner would take it to a bitchin level. I have an ARE on my 2016 that was Line-x coated and it looks badass. If it were mine, its what i would do but he doest want to put in the effort.

He said it has a wired light but he never hooked it up though all the wires seem to be there.

Sorry for the delay, there is no cracks, that is a scratch, he said he is looking for touch up paint just in case. Will upload a close up of the scratch now

Based on what I can see/know of the topper you're selling, your price is more than fair. FWIW, I'd buy it in a heartbeat except for two issues... The first is location (I'm in CO). The second is color (I need Silver Streak Metallic).

Does the camper shell touch the bed paint since it's goes over the bed rails?

 

Most of them don't, you can adjust it from side to side to get the gaps right. You can clamp one side down and flex it a little as well to get your gaps as well. You just need to install it carefully and check the gaps from side to side and front to back before you clamp it down. Hope that helps to answer your question.

 

No! It sits really nice over the bed sides with no rubbing even under stress. We did the mojave trail and his never touched. My brand new ARE gouged pait in 2 spots on my 2016. I am pissed that i have gone through 2 brand new shells and still have not been as satisfied as he was with his 2nd hand shell.

 

It is a good price for sure! My pop`s truck is also the silver, and almost any angle in the sun light, it is hard to tell they are different colors... its crazy lol. Food for thought
