White Swan Disco Overland #landroveryo build

Had a license plate bulb out.. I have anothet sitting on my bench but let them replace it so I didn't have to come back. Now to swap them all to led.

 

Today marks the day that the #landroverwhiteswan is fully legal.

Now to start taking apart random things. Steering wheel, brake reservoir, and maybe passenger fender liner.
Replace steering wheel stereo controls, replace reservoir and seals, find air leaking into dash.

 

don't forget undercoating and a respray

 

That's a Discovery 1, some things compatible with my Disco 2. Though hey @diverdale

 

@Taco_life the rover made it to Eddy's and back no problems. Got like 15mpg

Playing speakerboxx today. The new speakers I bought are dual 8ohm voice coils, so I will have to wire them each in parallel to they run at 4ohms to match the factory subs.

Harmon Kardon amp has four channels in from the headunit, and 8 channels out.
2 channels run the two subs (2x 4ohm)
2 channels run the front woofers (2x 4ohm)
2 channels run the rear doors (both woofer and tweeter)
2 channels run the front (midrange and Tweeter)

 

No pics... But had to cut the door for the slightly larger speaker magnets to fit. Now i have to open up the hole on the door panel. Hell I even added some sound deadener while i was in there.

Seems like I have some kind of "water" leak. When I got back from Eddy's shop i had water dripping down from above the transmission on the Rover. One person said it's the a/c drain (unlikely) another person said it was his intake gasket leaking coolant.

 

do you have "coolant" in there or is it just water? If it's coolant you should be able to tell pretty easily. Don't mean to be silly but could it be just water splashing up and dripping down?

 

The overflow tank smells of coolant but is empty. I haven't put anything in it since I bought it. My first thought was it water that splashed up but then it should be dripping down everywhere.

 

Rear door, speaker replacement complete.

 

Cleaning the nasty grime off of parts from the last owner.. Might be the worst part about this.

 

Slowly working on getting the center console back together. Decided to reuse the old foam cut to fit the new shifter.
