I took the looong route around but am back into a Toyota pick-up.... Oringinal was an '85 Hilux with 2 Tacoma's in between '99 and '02. This time we went with a 2002 Tundra Limited extra cab 4x4.. Lets just say :D:hattip:02 Tundra.jpg that 4.7 "likes to bark"

good reading. Considering making the switch. Jury still out on the 22 though. Been looking at F150's but if you want the 3.5 EB and Max Tow they're $$ and dont last. Just inquired about a Power Boost 4x4 S Crew and the dealer said $7500 markup! What are you paying for the 22 Hybrids? If they're any available. Its daunting and I cringe at the thought of letting my Tacoma go seriously. But I have a BMW also and the cant keep them all plus the wifes MDX and the kids Camry. Blah Blah but the wife (and I?) want a bigger TT so I'm stuck B/W a rock and a hard place.

make sure to call around. I must’ve called about 30 dealerships before I found the car that I wanted with no mark up. Just need to put some time in to find the right dealer

If we're talking dealer markups, Over on Tundras.com, someone shared a photo of the window sticker of a 22 Tundra Capstone with a $25k dealer markup.

    The truck was already sold...

I am enjoying mine BUT when it comes to "Mod's" even the simple things on the Taco add a little bit of a learning curve on the Tundra..... Now, this is not a slight because once completed, this thing will out haul & pull the Tacoma around sideways....o_O

I'm just ready to pre-plan everything and then complete the task....

I am on the fence of selling my 2020 DCLB trd Tacoma for reasons mentioned.

I have gear swapped to 4.88 and tune. Running the 285/70-17 and fuel mileage and towing just now working for what I do.

I love lot of things like how easy it is to park and being nimble. Really wish I had funds to keep it and have both. Just not affordable for me.

Just picked up my '22 Tundra Crewmax Limited last week, and have people blowing up my phone wanting to buy my Taco.
Love the new truck, but will miss the Tacoma!

Nice. Looks like your in Canada? Did they gouge you on pricing? Last I checked all the dealers in my area were marking up the price quite a bit.

I went from a Tundra back to a Tacoma. Kids are older, less trips don't need the room, Tacoma is perfect for my needs, and always had Tacomas

I almost went to a Tundra, but got the wife a bigger car instead. Still use the Tacoma for camping and overland trips with the family. It's fine for two kids

Swapped from tundra to tacoma. Miss the roar of the v8 and the 5,000sqft cabin, but otherwise prefer my new taco in pretty much every other way. Do not miss trying to park the damn tundra…and the way it drug its big ass around.

I feel like this is I good topic for me. Had a 2017 trd sport taco and traded it for a 2017 tundra trd off-road. 5 years later traded the tundra back in for a 2018 trd sport taco. o_O It’s like I’m confused haha.

I'm loving the Tundra but then again the last Taco has been awhile :(... 2 Lexus SUV's in between o_O

The only problem I find is keeping my foot out of it :burnrubber::burnrubber::burnrubber: ,left a Mobil station after filling it up :spending::spending: and took off a 'Lil Hot from the light... dam thing spun those Michelins like I was 18 or something  :p and as far as parking... it is still smaller than the Peterbilt :hattip:

Just curious did you track the MPG of the Tundra vs Tacoma? How bad is it?

No need to track, the tundra was terrible on fuel. Half a tank got me 260 some km to the dealership where I traded it. And that’s a 140 litre tank too. 1/3 of a tank left was 400 km and $180 to fill.

The first gen Tundras basically the same size as a Tacoma. Imagine if the 4.7 came stock in a 2nd gen tacoma?

You want the 1/2 ton version of a 3rd gen?

Used market will probably be $100 Grand, and only go up in years to come.

I find the 2.5 gen is a niice upgrade over the taco with minimal (avg 14.1 combined) gas increase, if I keep my foot out of it. Also, the 5.7 is a perfect 'keep me forever' engine/truck.

That, the 1794 Hybrid with TRD Off Road pkg, and the Hybrid Platinum all seem great ... would be a tough choice for me.
