I’m in the midst of dealing with some issues on my taco that the stealerships can’t fix. I test drove a crew max tundra the other night and the room in the cab is second to none.

We all know the 3rd gen tacomas are plagued with some issues that Toyota just can’t get right. Is the build quality in the tundra any better ?

Only at 3k miles, but so far it seems better. We'll see in another 5k, my Tacoma started making noises everywhere then.

I had a 2018 Tacoma TRD OR 6 speed manual, previous to that I had a 5th Gen 4Runner and prior to that a 2008 Tacoma TRD OR 6 speed manual. I traded in my 2018 Tacoma for a 2019 Tundra crewmax TRD OR a year or so ago, I put 9000 miles on the Tacoma and enjoyed it but the Tundra's interior is massive and the V8 is amazing. I liked my Tacoma's and 4Runner for nimble back road fun but even though the Tundra is much larger physically the pros outweigh the cons. The seats are very comfortable and I don't feel cramped inside the cab, she is reliable and the Tundra holds a solid resale value

I tried holding out for a Calvary blue Tundra. Wanted a 2020 but the dealership wasnt getting any of the blues in. So i went with my second option, MGM.

So I finally had it and made the switch two nights ago. I found a Cpo 2016 MGM Crewmax and I couldn’t resist. They gave me one hell of a deal on my now old taco.

The dealer paid off my Tacoma when i traded it in. I wasn't expecting it since I still owed quite a bit. Having such good resale value in these trucks really comes in handy!

I'm trying to sell my Taco right now to get a Tundra. I can't tow my camper or my tractor with it. Great daily driver, absolutely useless as a workhorse for the things I'm asking of it. My husband has a Tundra and is always doing the hauling, not cool.

Such a pretty color! Was torn between that and the inferno orange. My Scout II is orange and i'm nostalgic so the hunt is on for an inferno access cab TRD OffRoad 4wd with less than 50k miles and a clean carfax.. (i've been looking for months now..) At least i'm not picky:rofl:

Do you guys pull things at the same time? Just curious why get another Tundra if your husband already has one. Just drive his when you need to.

Sorry I should've elaborated: He lives 2.5hrs away so the only time I have access to his truck is when he's up for the weekend or i'm down at his house and do the vehicle switcheroo. We've had more than one occasion where I had to put work off because he needed his truck for something down his way or he did because I had his truck for the week. His also has 300k miles on it so it's getting close to retirement. I own a tractor that I can't pull and bought a new 5600lb camper because his is being used as a home base for a new property and anything smaller we'd end up killing each other where we're gone weeks at a time together. He also has a SCLB config so the 24hr straight drive to FL for our vacations sucks when you can't recline.. i'm 5'3" but those seats are a bitch to curl up in.

So in short- I need my own Tundra. I shouldn't have to borrow someone else's vehicle regardless when I have one sitting there not doing anything.

I see. I just assumed both trucks were in a single driveway. My apologies

With that said, You shouldnt have a hard time selling the Tacoma. demand is so high for those things. A Tundra won't have any issue with the tractor or the camper. Best of luck!

All good, our situation isn’t the norm so I should’ve mentioned it. Hes from Moscow and i have PTSD from the military so when our wondertwin powers unite..

I’ve dealt with 4 tire kickers in the last three days, absolutely hate selling vehicles. Im still hunting for that unicorn Tundra anyways so everything will align eventually. Either that or i’ll end up with two trucks :D

If I could have kept both, I would have too. Best of both worlds.
