Handles a lot better imo. Wider stance and more weight so feels more stable and planted in turns. Turning radius is on par with the Taco as well, I had a DCLB and have a DC now with the 6.5’ bed. Suspension is a million times better, actually gives and doesnt want to rattle the teeth out of your head. (I had a Sport Taco vs an OffRoad Tundra now)
Didnt want sway bars so cant speak for those other than a friend put em on his TRD OR and took them off a month later because he said they made the truck ‘too stiff’. We off-road and tow a lot though but the guys that buy the Sports rave about them on the road so its preference and how you use your vehicle im sure.

I have zero experience with the sway bar, but agree with all of this otherwise. The Tundra rides better than the Tacoma in my option. Turning radius is close enough it doesn't matter. Quieter and smoother in just about every aspect.

    Thanks for the feedback!

Probably will be trading in on a super low mileage 2014 Sr5 DC with Off road package, my biggest worry has been the handling feeling too "boaty" or vague compared to the Taco.

If it's any close to it then I will be totally fine with it, and worst case scenario I can use the sway bar since I don't really do any heavy or extremely off road.

Just traded my 2019 Tacoma OR for a 2020 Tundra TRD Sport. Tundra is just a better fit for the family. Digging the V8, LED headlights, apple carplay, and the extra room.

Worst is going from a built rig to a stock truck. Won’t stay stock for long, but hits me in the feels a bit when I remember the Tacoma.

Made the switch a couple months ago. I tow a boat a lot and have kids, so it just made more sense. One day again though, I will have another tacoma :)

Traded my 2019 taco for a 2020 tundra after 1 year. 0 regrets whatsoever. We maybe just that I didn’t go with the tundra originally. I also sling a boat and kids these days. Here she is getting groceries like a good domestic pig.

Agreed on the refresh uncertainty. The switch from the 4.0 to the “Atkinson” 3.5 was a big downgrade, and loosing the V8 for a bi-turbo V6 feels like more of the same. Get ‘em while they’re still here...

Just went ahead and got both. I never realized how small the tacomas where until I got our crew max.

Making the switch very soon! Love the tacoma and I’ll have another one day, currently looking forward to having a roomy vehicle!

I switched two weeks ago. Wasn't really planned, sold my 2010 AC TRD OR, and picked up a 2017 DC SR5 TRD OR. it's super comfortable, has almost as much body roll as my Tacoma with no sway bar, the TRD off road suspension seems pretty soft. Happy so far, but do miss my Tacoma, especially the 6speed manual. 20201126_131442.jpg

This has been on my mind lately. Just wish the interior was a bit more updated / similar to our 3rd gens, only thing holding me back.

I'm reserving my opinion on the next gen Tundra until Toyota official press release. I definitely like V8 but I don't have anything major against V6 Twin Turbo rumors.

The interior deff needs a major refresh! I feel like the interior of the current gen will look/feel dated as soon as the next gen is announced. I feel very positive about the next gen Tundra so I'm waiting...and waiting... almost there! :D

I don't hate those minimal visible design look in those leaked photos. I'll wait for the official release photos.

You are in the minority, lol. Though I agree, even the leaked 3rd gen photos had a lot of us concerned in winter/fall of 2015 and turned out to look killer.

I'm patiently waiting on a call from the dealer to come pick up a new to me '19 DCLB. Unfortunately it's stuck in recall Limbo so I'm hoping to get it before Christmas. Still keeping my Tacoma though.

There are times I miss my longbed (had 2 of them), moving stuff, dirt bikes, etc., but for 95% of the time I enjoy having the shortbed from a driving aspect.
