I basically treat my truck like a show car!I went straight from the dealer to my garage and applied a fresh layer of ceramic coat, I also let it sit for three days to properly cure! My first 1000 miles were only driven in town under 3000 RPM to give me the reasurance I properly broke in my engine. My first oil change was at 700 miles and all my oil change after that for every 5000 miles. Every day I let my truck warm-up for two or three minutes before I drive off. I put my car in neutral before I apply the parking brake to relieve any pressure that would be on the transmission While in park. Is anyone here is a particular as I am with their trucks?

Well, I thought I was bad. Thanks for clearing that up.

FWIW letting it idle that long is causing more wear than giving it about fiften-thirty seconds and going.

Once you drill your fender and cut your front and rear bumpers off you think differently.

Well the thing is, I literally live right next to the freeway entrance so I am screwed either way. Either I let it idle for too long or I jump right on the freeway with a cold engine LOL

So I am like this with most of my cars and quite honestly, it is tiring. I definitely traded in one of my garage queens for the Tacoma because I wanted a truck I didn’t have to worry too much about. That said, my “relax stance” with this truck is probably better than most drivers treat their cars.

Edit: oh and my wife was getting tired of parking at the far end of the lot. No food in the car, no kids near the nice cars in in the garage... actually I still don’t let them in the garage with those damn toys and scooters... raises my blood pressure.

Yea, I am somewhat in the same boat. It takes me 60 seconds to be on the freeway. If there is traffic, Im merging into 20mph so not a big deal. If there is no traffic, its pretty empty and the merge lane is super long so going slow works out.

Don't think so, but I'm also talking about the Ducati. I think there may be a name collision with a Porsche.

I do the transmission/e-brake thing, but like @JoeCOVA said I’ve cut a bunch of stuff... I treat it well, but it’s still a truck.

Ahh I thought u meant the Porsche. The 959 is legendary, but exceedingly rare. I think Seinfeld had one

I work with a guy who has one. I haven't convinced him to let me drive it, but late 80s Porche's don't really do anything for me. I'm more of an American muscle fan when it comes to cars. I'll get my Euro on with 2 wheels- way cheaper to maintain!
