Who has a 4x4 tailgate badge on their 2017 Off Road/Sport?

This is my dads 2016 TRD OR 4x4 DCLB.... no badge.

Those quicksand pics look a little fake, but the inferno one looks legit. wonder if it may have been factory preference...tx build one way and mexico the other, or even a regional thing, being added at port for some locations...strange reguardless

Nope, did not have one. Also the V6 emblem has been axed, looked stupid..

You could be onto something! That would go back to trims though...everyone check the first number of your VIN!

 

Probably Toyota's promo trucks that they let Motor Trend, TFL Truck, and other bloggers use for their articles. You want to get all you can into the pics/vids they will be taking and posting.

 

I think this is the answer. The 4x4 badge only came on the demo/promo trucks. I don't think you'll get anyone responding here with the badge on their TRD unless it's a really early VIN.

 

2016 OR 4x4. No 4x4 decal on tailgate. Had dealer prep remove the TuRD decals on the box sides. Like a clean look, without decals.

 

Another 2016 TRD OR here with no 4x4 badge. And I removed the bedside decals so there's no 4x4 visible anywhere ... which actually bugs me a little in theory, in case some chain control guy doesn't believe I have 4wd. I liked it when Toyota put it on the mud flaps.

 

NOT TRUE --as far as my 17 4x4 SR5 V6 AC is concerned! I got it on Valentines day --It came with the 4X4 and the V6 chrome emblems on the tailgate. My preference -- I would much rather these than the big ole GAUDY decals on the back of the bed. I had decals on my 02 F150. I promptly removed them as I would have done if I had purchased a Sport, Off Road, or a Pro. I really don't need to advertise to the rest of the world that I have a "whatever" model.
I think I know what I bought and that's enough for me -- It's my "truck" and not a "ego-trip" everytime I drive it.

I'd love to get a 4X4 badge- possible? think it balances the butt. (yes I could remove the V6)17' TRD Sport here.

 

Yes, I've seen them online for about $25 at the various Toyota parts sites.

 

my 17 sr 4x4 utility cab automatic has the 4x4 on the gate lower left hand corner , that and the Toyota emblem in grill is chrome

 

Same. Which I promptly removed.
