I’d not know why that happened to him. I pretty sure I didn’t disconnect my negative and discharge the remaining power when I changed my bulbs. But now when doing any electrical work I do.

Just disconnect the negative battery cable when doing electrical and you should be fine. It's always worked for me. Oh, and for the purpose of this thread the only interior LED's I have are meso dual color map lights front and rear, but they're plenty bright. I have no need to swap any other interior lights.

Stock for 5 years, but at some point will switch all interior to LED.
I still don’t buy the BS of the LED replacements blind on coming-as I’ve driven my wife’s little Kia sportage it sits much lower and she has had my Taco with stock headlight buckets and the Hikari LED’s and I am not blinded while she is behind me or on the other side of the road. Even my light bar on doesn’t blind ya. Proper aiming is key. I know those lights are 100 times better than stock and worth the $100 bucks any day IMO. I’ve only had them since last March 2021 so we will see about longevity.

Stock, in my former 2013 DCSB I did the LED switch, did not like the whiter/bluer kelvin temp - I prefer stouts or porters in a chilled clay mug, and candlelight to soothe my soul, too much drama when driving the roads to desire anything else. And that is with the 50 year old retinas.

I dunno sinner - but Ima gonna Rom 14 on ya. Those bastard LED headlamp replacements are of the devil. Mostly because those who buy them don't know what aiming is - they probably don't even lift the toilet seat in these uni-bathrooms that my daughters and wife are forced to use. I'll defer to the crashnburn80 LED thread.

Disconnect the battery negative and stick to a decent brand. I went with Diode Dynamics and Meso for this reason

I switched to interior and license LED lights on my 2018. I placed black electrician tape over the center of the driver's side map light due to the blinding nature of LED bulbs. At first I thought the LED bulbs were great but over time I started to dislike them. When I got my 2022 I decided to stay with the original bulbs. I do not want my license plate lit up anymore than needed and I don't like the glare on the back-up camera. The interior lights I don't want to light up to where it draws excess attention in public parking lots and garages with the Kansas City mull about at night crowd.

I have the Dual color Meso dome light and leave it on Red which I love. I am patiently waiting for the dual color map lights to come back so I can snatch them up and be all red for night vision light when I'm hunting or fishing.

Why would I mess with a perfectly fine interior lighting setup that came with my truck from the factory? Why would anyone? At 60 years old, my vision is still 20/20, original lighting is perfect…

All stock lighting except upgraded low beam bulbs, which made a huge difference for very little $. I don't want ultra bright interior lights and don't feel the need for additional exterior lighting.

I used this product to reduce the glare.
