You are on pace to get there. I’ll average 30-35k a year. Any issues?

I posted to this thread in January when I had 170k, I now have 187k and still no issues. No oil burn, no looseness in steering, no strange noises. Most of my drive during the week is highway and I rarely go above 70 on long stretches. Weekends I use it for anything from pulling a loaded 7 x 16 trailer (60 or less and balanced), pulling a 6x10 trailer w zero turn and atv (app 1500 lbs) 25 miles round trip, to goofing off and seeing if I can spin the tires some in a very dry Florida right now. I avg about 750 per week so will update back in about 3 years if you are looking for 300k experience. I had an 88 at 16 yo I abused the poo out of and it went 485k w only a head job. I am confident this 2.7 will be well beyond that. Not a drop of oil used, same pep as when I bought it, and no rattles or weird noises.

I had a 2020 with 98k miles absolutely no issues with the motor or trans but there was a weird electrical bug going on come to think of it the charge port worked when it wanted to since the day I gotten it new also a rear license plate light but besides that no leaks but the motor did sound different so trades it in got the 2023 but this time around when I hear it sounding differently going to have them adjust the valves an see how it goes

You do know that theses engines are notoriously noisy? The D-4S system uses Port & Direct Injection. Cleaning mode and a high pressure fuel pump under the hood add to the clatter. Definitely should not have to have them adjust your lifters.

2.7 doesn’t count, you know you are going to 400k with no problems. Just kidding, keep posting.

Do you have access or double cab?

I don't have a ton compared to some, but I will claim that they are harder miles than 95% of Tacoma owners. I only use this truck for hunting, running my trapline and overland trips here in Nevada. Loooooots of backroads, two tracks, miles and miles of 4lo, deep snow and mud and tight jeep trails in the junipers etc. Only pavement it sees is getting from home to offroad locations. My truck is normally so dirty inside that the family is grossed out by it!

I'm at 100k and the wireless charger no longer works and I've bent something in the front end so alignments are a bitch. Besides that no issues. And the bent front end is my fault. I hit a big washout while desert running at 50+mph when the truck only had 10k on it. Oops!

It's got another 100k in it...

It’s an awesome truck that’s perfectly designed for what you do. I wish I could a trap line out west. I’m jealous.

I didn’t know there noisy because when I bought it new it wasn’t like that only after a certain of miles out on it but if the valve adjustment or whatever the dealer recommends doesn’t fix it when it comes to that time then I will be trading it again and getting something else in that case. I’m new to Toyota trucks an new to anything that isn’t a v-twin motor. Thanks for the heads up

Just hit the 200,000km mark on my 2017 TRD Off-road. Nothing but general maintenance so far. Hoping to see 500,000.
