IMG_4946.jpg I don't know if there is any threads like this so I'm just going to try and start one.

A buddy and I took my new truck, (well new to me) up to try and find some snow to play in. My first trip up into the woods where we camp and hunt in the truck. On our way up we find a couple of kids from Washington stuck in a ditch very happy to see us. When we came around the corner they were jumping up and down. We hooked up to them and pulled them out. They said that they were trying to turn around. Brand new strap and shackles that came with the truck were used on the first trip into the woods! So happy to be having fun with a rig that I always wanted when I was younger! And I almost forgot, this truck was first a Search and Rescue rig to start with so it must have it in it's blood! Don't know if we rescued but sure helped them out.

I pulled out my junk this morning since my significant other didn’t want to help... does that count?

I figured that response was coming soon.

    No punn intended. :(

But since it's a PNW thread, I'll add one for ya when I was traveling through.

And if you read further.. I had to recover the hell out of myself the next day after some bad intel about trail conditions.

So this is weird... but I literally got out with me and my friend drinking at a bar and although it’s not an off-road recovery I did help him out.

His battery wasn’t holding a charge nor was using a jumper cable helping him out, so I used a kinetic rope with a soft shackle since his ranger didn’t have a hook to pull him so he can bump start it.

I was drunk (still a bit) so I didn’t take a picture but I took a pic of the recovery gear I used:

For those saying that may call out DUI; I was with my significant other who was sober so she drove me home. I’m military so I always have a dedicated driver =p.
