who here has the VIP factory security system on their truck?

i can buy just about any aftermarket stereo, alarm , amp or sub at wholesale prices through my distributer in CA. however i like to keep my truck stock.
im curious as to how many of you have the factory alarm, what you think about its function and if given the choice would you have chosen aftermarket?
i know the VIP system is a lot more expensive since i can get a full blown remote start unit with 2 way paging for about 150 bucks. but im a big fan of the plug and play and the factory clean install since i dont need or want all the extra crap.

 

I have it and they are just fine, but when i whake the whole vehicle it does'nt horn, only when you tap the glass with a hard object

 

can you break into or steal a vehicle by shaking it? no. its amazing how many customers shake their cars after i put alarms on them and get pissed when they dont go off by shaking it. alarms should only go off from the shock sensor.. door trigger.. or microwave sensor.. they dont make a shake sensor or a tire kick sensor where you kick the tires and the alarm goes off.

 

Yes but sometimes some people need to have a very sensible alarm because they don't want other to touch or scratch or playing with their truck
