Weather cooled off, time to hit the water and bait.
I fish off shore, no boat. Anybody?

Dug out all of my shit and went a few times last year. Need to renew my license so I can start going again. Aiming to pick up a small used aluminum boat so I can get out on the water, but I've always shore fished.

Not a pro angler by any means but my Dad owned a Bait and Tackle business for 25 years so fishing has always been close with my family.

All over. Roosevelt and Bartlett a few times earlier this year before license expired. Saguaro and Canyon are about 20 mins away from me. I'm probably at Woods Canyon / Bear Canyon the most because I like camping around there.

Striped bass is my jam, I’m not a LMB / SMB kind of guy though.

Lake Plesant has some good stripers, usually catch a decent amount but they’re all smaller.
Rim lakes for trout is where we usually go out here, but hear big lake is good too. I fish big bear in So Cal a few times a year, have been catching some decent rainbows there since the late 80s.

Catfish I fish the salt, canyon, saguaro. Usually depends on where others want to fish.

Queen Creek and DFG just opened that lake in QC and they have some cats now, will start stocking trout in the fall. Will probably never get big fish there, but it’s close so I’ll prob throw lures 2-3x a month once the newbies thin out when the novelty of a new lake is gone.
