My driver side mat came loose the other day, removed from the hooks, after a car wash. I guess the guy at the car wash removed it while vacuuming and didn't hook it back in. Anyway, the mat slid pretty far up to the pedals after a few days. Luckilly, I noticed it while getting into the car and pulled the mat down and hook them back into the hooks.

Overall, I think Toyota's design of the floor mats and hooks are awful. They should come up with better design that keeps the mat secure in one place. I think some velcro strips might do a better job than those hooks.

My Scion TC has the same mats and hooks, I wonder if there's a recall for that.
