Have no idea why you were so quick to run to your insurance. That's only shooting yourself in the other foot.

    I'm going to guess $6-8k
You have an 08 BLACK truck. Probably needs a whole repaint to look reasonable. Its hard to blend and feather old black.

You better do good research on the body shop you pick and you be on their ass to replace whole parts and NOT repair and use bondo. New tailgate for sure. No dent removal bondo sculpt and repaint.

It takes a real artist to do body work that doesn't go to complete shit in a couoke years.

Seriously do your research and make sure they do what they say they will do.

Oh yeah, it's a 2008, repair costs are gonna exceed 60 percent at least. Totaled.

More than that... The cab is dented really bad.

Unless you put your foot on the brake or put it in reverse while going through the wash, the truck should not have hopped the roller. I would demand they cover the cost of the repairs and file with their insurance before going through your own.

Edit: Just saw that the car wash owner said he wouldn't press charges against you for the damage... he is just trying to put fear into you so you dont file a claim under their insurance.

Sorry but there is damage on 3/4 of the trucks panels, and severe damage on the roof.

3/4 of the panels? Doors look ok, R side looks fine, hood ok, R fender ok... maybe 1/4, The pics aren't of the roof, that's the roof rail/door opening panel

The seam between the roof and the door opening panel is under the roof molding FYI

Driver door has paint damage, driver fender, will need nearly whole truck painted. If you wanna put money on it let me know, I would have totaled it out by the time I was done writing the number of panel repair areas, parts, and hours. The truck msrp in great shape is 18k, gonna hit the limit fast.

Sucks that it happened. I'd expect at least 2 weeks minimum for repairs, if not totaled out by insurance. Cost estimate, leave that to the adjuster, not TW lol.

I smashed the front of a 2005 Ranger into a concrete barrier @ 35mph when I slid on an icy overpass Whole new front clip, cross members, radiator/fan, and windshield, plus paint = a month wihtout the truck. Insurance furnished a rental for 2 of those weeks.
EDIT: Wasn't totaled out, but I was about $500 away from that. And that adds up quick in body shop expenses!

And every car wash I've ever gone to in my life has SEVERAL disclaimers posted that no damage sustained to your vehicle is their fault.

Last pull-through wash I went to, and have gone to many times previous with this truck and other cars, pulled out the weather strip on pass side roof. It was a touchless wash too. So I popped it back in the track and vowed to never use that one again. Haven't.
Best of luck! Glad you and yours weren't hurt. To hell with the machines! Can't see it from your house :)

    I'm not sure.

The cab damage is my concern for pricing estimate, so if I had to guess I'd say it's a total.

Yea, i think so too. To be honest if it were me I would be hoping for that, rather than putting that much faith in a body shop to do that level of quality work on my truck.

No, only interested in OP's. No 2 accidents are the same, comparing yours to his is irrelevant.

Who's comparing anything? Only reason I asked is because you fancy yourself a bit of an amateur estimator, apparently, and would have been interested in testing your internet strengths with a vehicle I know the information on.

I have facts, you have opinion, I was hoping you wouldn't be so agitated about me inviting them to cross paths. Please carry on with your nonsense, and I'll let the others know your widsom isn't to be challenged.

Let's ignore minor things like broken side view mirror housings, and focus on expensive things like cab and roof repair/replacement and associated work.
