Who's rocking the stock wheels on their 3rd gen?

Thanks man! I'm trying to go with a red and black theme for my truck.

 

Swapped the Off Road wheels for Pro Wheels, so I guess it’s still considered stock.

That isn't bad and they look awesome. I'll have to consider that.

 

Plasti-dipped my OEM rims, but replaced the "Kevlars" with much better 265/75/16 "Duratracs"...

 

KO2s and snows are both 235/85r16

Pretty much. I even bought a second set of 17s just for my winters.

 

Can you run 285s on the stock OR rims with an OME setup? I’ve read posts of rubbing and no rubbing...

 

I have a 2wd SR5 TSS with 285/70r17. The taco has a 3/2 ready lift now but the shop said I didn’t rub before the lift on the stock setup. I have Nitto Grapplers on stock TSS wheels

 

From my experience, I would also recommend aftermarket UCAs and CMC as a minimum for a functional 285/75 setup with optional wheel spacers. Its all good until you start making hard turns and driving on rough terrain without the other modifications. If you want a guaranteed fit with a slightly taller tire, I'd stick with a 265/75. Some have had success with a 275/70 I think, if you want a little wider tire.
