My mudflaps are less then pefect so I've been passively looking for new ones for liek 4 years now but I cant find any that I would want to buy because they all cost too much. Its just plastic right? So why do people think they can get $400 for them. Why would anyone pay that much for pieces of plastic?!

    $396 Ebay Mudflaps
    $157 Ebay Rear Mudflaps (for a a Prerunner...wtf?!)
I saw some on here for $60 + Shipping.. maybe thats fair maybe it isnt, but still.. Its just plastic.

I think $10 a piece, new, still in Toyota packaging would be ok... Thats about what I'm willing to pay for them new, since they are just plastic...

I found a replacement for one of mine at a bone yard. Yet, if all else failed I was gonna buy a thick piece of rubber (or even a dump truck flap) and cut them out myself.

What'd you pay for them at the bone yard?

Paid 45 bucks for 1 from the local dealership. I thought that was a rip off...
Was for my 2nd gen tho so I guess it's a different circumstance.

I paid $10 for 1 flap, a seatbelt stopper and a few interior plugs for the doors.

You can have my rears for free if you wanna pay for shipping. Took them off at 5,000 miles and they are pretty much perfect. 4x4 logos on them. I'd offer the fronts but I cut em' to fit 33's.

How did you get the stopper out? I tried using a small pin (aka flair) but that didn't last. My wife shattered the stopper in the door. :(

Husky used to give TW members a discount. Don't know if they still do. I got four for $60 and free shipping. They are shorter than oem which is what I wanted. They conform to the fender flares too. No complaints here!

A friend of mine bought some cheap rubber floor mats and cut them to size. They are very flexible rubber and work quite well. Stiff enough to block debris from bouncing off your fenders but soft enough to not break off when wheelin. I think he paid $20 for the set.

If they're worn out, just armor all them. If you want the "4WD" part to look new, just mask the area good around the letters and paint them white. Voila.

I will have to get new/different ones. I had some tire rub on the back left that essentially grinded down a portion of the mudflap. That happened when I was travelling down a muddy road. The front left one got ripped off when it got stuck between a rock and the tire while I was backing up.

I just used my pocket knife and went around it a few times and it actually came right out.

One of the first things I did when I gother my 98 is take all 4 mudflaps off! Those things are worth less & always the first thing to get ripped off out in the woods.
