Why do I never see TRD beadlocks on new Tacomas?

I love the look and have been strongly considering them, but I never see them on any of the advertised Tacomas online or at my local dealership. Is it because they're typically just added on-demand?

its because those were new and fresh for the 2nd gen Tacomas. Still available from dealer but the new hot mojo is the TRD Pro wheels

Funny I don’t like either set. There are some very nice rims out there. I guess I just prefer aftermarket for my rims. I absolutely hate the rims that came on my 19 or. Saving up now to get me some new ones. My next mod:D

I've got em. They were originally made for the 2nd gen but I think they look great on the 3rd gen.

Real bead locks or fakes? I personally despise the fake bead locks as much as the fake hood scoop.

They're fake but in my opinion they actually serve a real purpose. Lots of fake beadlocks including the trd beadlocks have a removable ring. If you're doing heavy off roading you're bound to get the edge of your wheels chewed up by rocks and other obstacles. On a normal wheel if this were to happen you're out of luck and to fix it you would either have to get the wheel professionally repaired or replaced entirely. Both of which would be very expensive. On a wheel with a removable fake bead lock you can by a new ring fairly inexpensively and have your wheel looking like new in a matter of minutes. Removing and replacing the ring on the trd wheel is just a matter of removing a few torx screws. You don't even need to get the tire removed to do it.

I'm about to order some from a dealership.

Can anyone tell what size tire is on this truck (below)? I want to go for this look.

I'm guessing it's a 265/75/16, but it looks like it may be a little bigger.

IMO the TRD beadlocks look great. I dislike the newer pro wheels. I'm old school I guess.
