    Vince, you are 100% correct.

Sad that it takes us so long to figure this out.

I went through a period of 6 new Harley's in 6 years. WTF.

And the countless boats...one that I currently have for sale.

Then there were the Corvette's...the latest an 09 that I bought in Feb this year and traded in May.

I've gotta get out of this game.

BTW...when is the new redesigned Tacoma coming out? LOL.

I say you're better off moving to an 09+ TRD OR. Same offroad capability, more utility with the truck bed.

FJ's are nice, but I need a vehicle with more uses than just offroad driving. IMO the 09+ TRD OR Tacoma is a better buy for the money - all the same offroad features, but truck usefulness.

I have that disease with my bikes, too....12 different motorcycles in 6 years. One of everything, and for no good reason at all.

    3 ZX-10Rs, 1 CBR1000RR, 2 GSXR-1000s, 2 Hayabusas, 2 R1s, SV650, SV1000.

You can't put a snowmachine in the back of an FJ. Or a motorcycle... The Tacoma just rocks at being versatile, and its so damn sexy!

    a lot!
I wouldn't trade the FJC on a Tacoma but I would definitely like to pick up a Taco as well. The grass is looking pretty green on the Taco side!

The view from inside of the FJ takes some getting use to.

    Tacoma.
    Pro's
    It's a truck
    It's a Toyota
It has a decent amount of room
    Cons
    C channel frame
    Weak rear leaf springs
As of 2010 weaker engine than FJ

    FJ Cruiser
    Pro's
    No carpet
    Fully Boxed ladder frame
New 1GR with dual VVT-i (as of 2010
    Manual transfer case
    Cons
    Blind spots
    Inner fender bulging and cracking

    2010 4Runner (TE)
    Pro's
    Fully boxed frame
    Manual transfer case
Extra offroad goodies (Crawl Control, Terrain Selection)
    New 1GR with Dual VVT-i
    KDSS
Fold flat seats (they sit flush with the rear cargo area unlike the FJC)
120V outlets in the back and in the center console
    Cons
    Has carpet
    Cost $$

All in all I'm glad we traded up to the 4Runner. FJC was nice but the 4Runner simply owns! Can't wait until ARB releases a Bullbar and suspension system for the 4Runner.

FJ seems to be very good at very few things, whereas the tacoma is still fun, and practical as well.

I just couldn't get over the the interior/dash of the FJ. Main thing that really turns me off about them. Not that the Tacoma's is anything special, but the FJ's just looks retarded and goofy.

    Just the basics
Yeah I'm looking forward to it. I have had 3 trucks and never cared for shells/caps. That will be the only stumbling block is getting used to the limited view vs where I'm at now.

Do you have a flippac? If so how do you like it? Any pics or a link to some pics?

Meh. I looked at the FJ briefly but the truck much more suits my lifestyle. I don't think I want to haul a dead elk home in an FJ.

The wife has been wanting an FJ for the last couple of months. My neighbor had a new FJ for about 3 months and traded it for a used Tacoma recently. The impulse side of me wants to take her '08 Explorer and trade it in but that wouldn't be a financially smart decision at this time. We're expecting our baby in late Sept/early Oct... but maybe next year! But there's no way in hell I'd trade my Taco for an FJ.

FJs are cool, but aren't practical at all. At least not for my needs. I love my bed... :)
