ive been looking here, was really hoping to find a gem, and make her mine, but so far, nada...

the first of the four links i love, the truck looks cool, but it wont fit in my damn underground parking.... its 6'9" tall, thats the max height of my place... Id take out the 3" body lift, and swap the 35"s for 33"s which will lower it about 4", should be fine, but then he hasnt done the 100k mi service yet, plus Ive gotta pay to get the 4" drop, (haha sounds funny, dropping the big rig) plus the TRD sc is gonna need an overhaul... im looking about over $2k at least right there, no?

    ahhhhh, little help?

I live near you and recently purchased one... they are hard to find and you just have to be patient... I totally scored as well...

04, access cab (HATE HATE HATE access compared to DC, my only complaint), 4x4, auto (won't compromise on this one, especially living in So Cal), 43K miles on it, nothing but sythetic oil (doesn't really matter, but nice to have had) and babied to death... bought it from an older gentleman who had never off roaded it... paid $16K.

be patient and keep scouring cl...

That reminds me of when I was buying my last car. They had just recieved an accord (my old one) in the night before I came up there, they hadn't even taken pictures of it yet. It was mint, great price, exactly what I wanted. I took it for a test drive. Came back the next day and we were doing the paperwork and I had the keys in my pocket to the car. Another salesmen comes up and asks my salesmen if he had seen the keys to the red accord outside because there was a couple that was ready to sign the paperwork. My salesmen looks at me and we both smile at each other and he says "nope I haven't seen them, check over in the cabinet" knowing I had the keys to the car in my pocket.

oh, not to brag but...I scored an 04 doublecab trd 4x4 with 68k miles from the original owner for $15k! The deals are out there, you just have to be on top of it and willing to take a day trip. I found out not to shop in So Cal though, I started using a c/l search engine that searches multiple areas/states at once.

At work so I can't post a CL link, but look on Craigslist under Joplin, Missouri. Type Tacoma in the search.

There is a guy selling a near mint condition DC TRD with 60k miles. Bone stock and clean.

    Might be worth your time...

I actually saw this! haha... nice truck, definitely! I just am really set on a DC, and now I'm leaning more towards a more stock one than modified.

I have a few options on the modded trucks, but my concerns about say, TRD sc at 100k mi? Eesh, I don't want problems with the sc, and maybe the problems it could have caused in the engine, you know?

Thanks for the help guys! I'm definitely not opposed to taking a flight somewhere, for the right truck.

if it were a private seller, id be on a plane tomorrow, but its not a great deal, and from a dealer, eh.... damn damn...

A private seller would be sell that truck for 13,500, and I'd buy it. But I'd rather not give a dealer more money. You know? This sucks, I stay up late every night looking... nada... what other sales sites can I check? Craigslist is ran through now... nothing new in a while.

You could probably get that truck for 13500. Don't settle on the asking price of the truck from the dealer!

yeah I know, but to go out of state to haggle a dealer, its never fun. i KNOW... used to be an internet/fleet manager at a big toyota dealership. I have all my friends looking there too, haha... nothing! Lots of options on new trucks, but I just really want a 1st gen.

Plus with a private seller, im less likely to pay lots of taxes... ;)

look at this one...There is only 11K miles on it. 18 grand is a lot of money for a 2003 but this thing looks super clean.
