If you don't draw blood, you're doing it wrong!
I am merely replying to the OP, as I haven't read through all 10 pages of this thread (yet).

I completely agree with you Ben. Though I have witnessed an increase of aggressive behavior, impatience, and intolerance EVERYWHERE; not limited to TW exclusively.

I think it's a testament to society in general. People are rapidly turning into inverted assholes who feel they are entitled, or deserve to be treated differently than the next man (or woman).

It sucks, and while you can't change how other people act, you can lead by example and focus on your own behavior and hopefully 1 or 2 people will notice, and pass on the good nature as well. Here's my mentality, DON'T BE A DICK!!! BE A GOOD PERSON EVEN IF YOU HAVE NO WAY TO BENEFIT FROM IT!

Trust me, it feels good to be a good samaritan and just do something nice for a complete stranger,

Having recently joined TW, I have been looking through the site, to see what all was available. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one to notice the anger in some of these posts. I thought it was just the cynic in me .

I'm a new member to TW but from the older generation. Just ignore these attention seekers and they'll soon go away. You can thank the "entitlement" mentality the younger gens seem to have that brings on all the anger. And yes, a lot of it has to do with their upbringing and those dang "guhv-ment" schools (public schools).

Some of the posts on this thread have cracked me up. :D

Although I would prefer not to be grouped in the "Angry New Generation". I lurk a lot, have for a while now, and only started posting recently.

I feel that there are a lot like me, quietly soaking in the knowledge that is the glory of Tacoma World! We just don't speak up much, but we're here!

(In the meantime, now that I've begun posting some, I'll try to keep from stepping on the toes of you old guys with ~5,000+ posts :p)

Haha my intent was not to scare anyone away, I'm glad for you folks that have posted in here as new members. Most of us are happy to answer your questions. Just expect someone to give you crap at one point or another as a lot of us use the sure largely for entertainment purposes as well.

It's all part of the deal, I post a lot because I've read a lot, and like to pass that on to others. I also try and keep AK on the map with you lower 48-ers.

I also agree with the OP.
I'm another that reads TW 99% of the time
Seen a lot of threads turn into train wrecks in a page or two.
As a noob, I'm sure I asked a few dumb questions, but never intentionally agitated a thread.
Now, I try to check in on the forum regularly, but don't log in or post unless I have something to contribute.
As for the threads that turn angry, I just move on to a different one.
When I read the thousandth "What's the largest tire size, that'll fit on my new Taco" thread title from a member with 3 posts, I cringe.
Or "what color should I..." or "what do you guys think looks best".
Really wish people would search, or choose what they want on their vehicle, themselves.
All organizations, be it church, club, forum, team, etc. have their small percentage of jerks.
But the more member, the more jerks
It's just the nature of the human race. Just have to live with it.
There's a huge percentage of members that contribute regularly, that makes TW what it is, and why people continue to join.
I'm sure most of the long time members have read tigerfan00's my "halftime" speech
I read it every time I start getting frustrated with a new member's post or the direction the forum is going
Maybe the angry folks otta take a look at it.
On my way to give it an overdue bump.
BTW: someone should let them know, anger's not good for long term health.
Let's hope the anger diminishes for the sake of the forum
