Are you saying you've driven over 3 million miles, in a jeep? BS. Because if thats one motor, with no rebuilds, for any motor you are near a world record and should hit up Guinness world records. The current record is held at just over 3 million miles on some old Volvo (im not even certain there hasn't been internal work done at some point, not clarified).

So I call BS that you've rolled your odometer 3 times.

300,000, okay I buy that but 3,000,000? BS!

ps. not that hard to envision. considering my runner doesn't even have a tach. and has a broken speedo cable. and I can also drive the speed limit. and im one of those horrible 'millennials' oooohhhh

I don't believe he ever said "3 million miles" but that the odometer has gone "three times around." A lot of older cars have odometers that rolled over at 100,000. Here's a Jeep gauge from a CJ-8 which is the Jeep that he's talking about. Given the age of the vehicle that's less than 8k/year to get to 300k miles.

PS before you ask the white one is tenths of a mile.

Because where I live, Jeeps are driven by packs of teenage girls.

It's the Orange... that's why the price is so high.

I have both. The Jeep excels in two categories - rock crawling only (not getting to the trail!) and cruising around town at less than 30mph with the top off. For everything else, the Tacoma wins. I drive the Tacoma a lot. I rarely drive the Jeep, I leave that for the rest of the family.

Did the Jeep thing, 1991 Wrangler, bought brand new. Kept for 156K and 14 years. Sold rusted out shell to a kid for 600.00 My Taco is now 14 years old, still my daily driver. Other than paint and clearcoat it is in fine shape.

You are correct. I used the jeep as a daily driver for almost all of it's life. Commuting distances in SoCal freak out a lot of east coasters. I regularly drove enough to hit two or three states back east.

It's just funny to see a millennial complaining about people complaining about millennials while at the same time making a classic millennial assumption that things are, and always been, as they perceive.

If that's not meta IDK what is.

Oh other thing I can say with the Jeep (jk) versus my Truck 2nd gen is I kinda wish we got the Jeep auto. The 6 speed manual sucks big time compared to my truck. It’s like you are always downshifting and searching for power in every situation even when it was stock. The clutch pedal has like zero resistance so it’s so hard to control and it has all sorts or weird electronic shit that is supposed to help but makes you feel like you are always guessing.
