I'm sure you will find some Jeep pics as well. That was used by special forces for an urban assault. The Jeep is not going to move 4 guys with gear.

Offraod they aren't loading into a Jeep either.

Anyways my point is that your comment was a bit over zealous. Jeeps are not currently in wide deployment by US Forces. Tacoma's are well known for their controversial special forces use.

The 3.8 and 3.6 molar engines that took over both have more torque...

This matters so much since we are special forces. Or wait, who gives a shit... Wheel with that Tacoma vs the jeeps that special forces don't use and you would want a jeep. Especially when red dawn really happens and you have to head for the woods.

Towing capacity on Jeeps suck. That's the main thing that keeps me away.

And my '16 Taco has a sun roof. That partially satisfies the want of an open top

Okay so after reading this little mini flame-fest, a few points:

    1) SOF doesn't use Tacomas hardly at all... ever. I think I have seen one over the past three years? We mainly use Hiluxes. In fact, I fell in love on the one Taco we had back in '12 - that was my first time ever driving one. 99.99999% of the time it's an up-armored Hilux. That picture above is from a news article some moronic team did b/c they wanted to feel special and send it to Toyota. So, this whole Jeep vs Taco pissing 'SOF usage' pissing contest is retarded. Neither Tacos NOR Jeeps are in 'wide deployment' with any US Forces anywhere. Not saying they're not used occasionally, but it's going to be the exception and not the rule.

    2) I'm a Taco and a Jeep fanboy. So... I guess I piss everyone off? I'm working through my issues lol.

    3) We all know a stock Taco doesn't have shit on a stock Wrangler when it comes to tight, technical trails. The Jeep is made for that - the Taco is made to be an all-around vehicle. Let the guy with the brand new '16 enjoy and brag about his new ride. After his 'honeymoon stage', we can all drive our Jeeps out to him in a convoy and crush his hopes and dreams later.

Thanks for all the feedback guys!

But they made a call of duty edition wrangler for a couple years... Doesn't that mean its military grade... Lol. If it isn't used overseas for military ops then the game may not be real???

At the end of the day, here's my suggestion... Pay off the Tacoma first, then your options and money is wide open. The Tacoma will last forever so no worries about anything else you buy.

Good suggestion! I just picked up the Taco, so I might jump the gun a bit on picking up an old crappy Jeep, but hold off on any 'big' purchases for the Jeep or Taco until the Taco is paid off.
