Why pass side rear sticks out further?

Well, got my new tires (wildpeak AT3w in 265/75/16) to compliment the 3/2 level-lift, then noticed pass side rear sticks out further maybe 1/4 inch(already had 1.5inch wheel spacers before level-lift was installed).

After researching, I have found it is VERY VERY COMMON across manufacturers, and on toyota’s, this seems to be why in general...

    And where I learned this:
    https://www.tundratalk.net/forums/t...stick-out-wheel-well-differently-3.html?amp=1

Just wanted to share for anyone else having OCD like myself(still irks the shit outta me, but hopefully not enough to start trying to re-align the bed which seems to be good overall).

Also, my low speed (5-15mph)DS vibe seems to have been mostly resolved after having 15k mile toyota service dept “checkup” this week. They said they retorqued the propeller shaft and greased the only 2 zerks it has.

    Just sharing my experiences, YMMV..

My bed was way off with one tire (Wildpeak!) appearing to stick out more than the other.
The bed was positioned off center and crooked from the factory.

No, “trying to realign the bed”, just do it. It’s very easy.
Loosen the bed bolts and it’ll slide around by pulling outward at the top of the rail.

    All lined up. 2/23/18

(My first and probably last “truck” at that)
Why do I have to f*ck with everything? Why could’nt I just drive it STOCK like I said I would initially?

    :annoyed: :pout:

Got OCD? Check rear bumper spacing on both sides. Majority of 3rd gens are off.

I was told my thrust alignment was off. At that point I just accepted my truck for what it is. They really don't make them like they used to. Lol. :annoyed:

Align the bed to the cab and then the bumper to the bed. Not too bad to do. The smaller the hands you have the better ha for the bumper that is.

The forward and aft gap on the sides too. To adjust, you gotta remove, black center cap and loosen/tighten four 12mm? bolts.

The cab may be out of alignment with the frame, too. Measure it first before moving the bed. I had Toyota autobody fix both when it was obvious my new shell wouldnt align with either.

BTW, this thread is OCD

Lol bed alignment was often off on 2nd gens as well.

Was your truck assembled by Mexicans in Tijuana or by Mexicans in San Antonio?

I have just realized I have the same issue with my bed being way off alignment. Could anyone post some pics as to where and how to align? I would really appreciate it and thanks in advance.
