DCSB here. The rear seats will fit normal adults fine. By normal I mean 6'1" without knee problems. If the passengers in the back "need" tons of leg room it's not the option for you. Honestly my decision was based purely on the driving size of the vehicle and I wouldn't have personally wanted to deal with a full size width or length in the parking garage that I park in every single day.

Sorry yes I was meaning the back seats. I sat in a tundra backseat and tacoma backseat at the dealer and didn't really notice that big of a difference. Then I went on a trip in my buddies f150 double cab and man it was like I was in my living room.

The 2015 F-150 extended cab floundered according to IIHS in the small overlap crash test. The steering wheel came 8 inches backwards towards the crash dummies chest. IIHS said it failed because additional components that are present in the double cab are not absent in the extended cab. Ford did install these extra components into the double 2016 F-150 double cab and it passed and aced the small overlap. Go and watch the video on youtube. Also IIHS said body work would cost around 25% more to repair over steel bodies because the 2015 body is aluminum.

If you get a slightly older tundra, the one before the current body style, their mega-cabs had reclining rear seats.

Not everyone lives in a city. 3/4-1 Tons rule the land where I live.

    ...as they say, YMMV.

Go compare the specs of a DCLB Taco, to F150 SuperCab (extra cab) short bed....size-wise they are real close. F150 might be a little bigger in all the right places. My neighbor just bought one, it isn't that bad as it didn't feel overly huge to me...think you guys blow things out of proportion, plus you get so much more truck for the money.

The Colorado has a roomier back seat than the Tacoma. But it's a Colorado so there's that...

Show me a Chevy or GMC 4x4 quad cab (similarly equipped) for anywhere near the price of a new Taco.....discounts or not.

No. But OP is asking about an F150 or a Tacoma.

What GM trucks actually sell for has absolutely nothing to do with anything. :)

I wish I had a f-150. But I off-road and wheel so I bought the Tacoma. If I was all street driving f-150 would be my daily for sure.

    No.

And even if you were asking Jesus, your demand for evidence of something that isn't even relevant to what OP is asking about is pointless.

Go Google for that info. Otherwise, F150 or Tacoma?

For you its a viable option. For me it is completely out of the question. Too big, too wide, too thirsty..I test drove a used F150...never gonna happen
