What everyone else said...bed is too short. Can't really haul much of anything in it. Even the 6' bed is a little small for me, but I make it work. Even for camping it fills up up fast, since most of my camping trips are focused around dirt bikes, the gear bags then all the camping equipment take up quite a bit of room.

For DD or family hauler, the DCSB is fine for most folks...me not so much, so they are pretty much worthless in my eyes. I really need a fullsize with a 8' bed to tell you the truth.

That's the thing. At the time, I thought "Well it'll do, it gets the job done." I would put a plastic tote in there that took up half the bed. Now I put the same box in the F150 6.5ft bed and can't believe how much room I have left. I have yet to actually fill it with anything other than pallets or a trash run. And it's not just the length. It's also wider, smaller wheel wells, and taller. A stack of pallets in the DCSB had to go narrow side first between the wheels, and only 1 stack. Second stack would be hanging off the tailgate. Meanwhile with the F150 I can rotate the pallets, long side in first, fit TWO stacks in, plus stand 3 on edge on the tailgate.

Between 5 and 6,000 miles. Dropped it off at the dealer on Thursday to get a mirror gauge on the driver door fixed so I can't check. Five days without it, so they say. I'm gonna call tomorrow to see how it's going. :goingcrazy: I don't remember being this anxious when my Tacoma was 200 miles away getting a wheel bearing replaced.

I think it runs great! I guess the easiest way to put it is my wife used to be the one driving the kids everywhere. School events, picking up/dropping off friends, fetching the kids from a friend's house, etc. I haven't really let/asked her to do that since I got the F150. The kids all love it, and think it's cool when I roll up to pick them up at night with all the lights on.

And I absolutely love the fact that I can load up the bed, and still reach tie down points. I can strap pallets down to the cleats so tight the boards bend, but the cleats don't. I NEVER would have done that with the plastic cleats and flexing rail system Toyota makes. And the D-rings I had to add to the Tacoma were on the bottom of the bed, so usually under what I needed to strap down. The F150 has D-rings on the bed sides in each corner, so if I had to use those they'd actually be reachable.

With the LED bed lights I'll still be able to see under a bed cover, and I've thought about camping in it with a hard cover and the tailgate closed. I could use the LEDs to see, and they auto turn off after 10 minutes.

The bed lights are on each side, towards the back and facing the front. Turned on by a switch on the driver's side. Very useful.

I use the switch, don't know of any other way. The key fob won't turn them on unfortunately.

Switch in the bed, and in the cab. Switches control the LEDs in the bed, 3rd brake lights, mirror puddle lights, and license plate lights. They turn off after 10 minutes, or 5mph so you don't have to worry about leaving them on.

Nope! I'll hit the cab button to turn on the puddle lights and bed lights when picking up my daughter as there's no street light by her friend's house, no outside light on the house, and I usually have to load her bike in the bed. The side lights let them see the step bars, and the bed lights help me see to load her bike.

I think they'll be MUCH more useful in the shorter days coming when I need to load things in the back, or just watching for ice around the truck.

Are the step lights separate package ? Do you have paddle lights ? how about turn light (light that comes on when you turn on turn signal)?

Have you seen any of the odds and ends attachments that are supposed to be coming for the bed hooks? I was told by my dealer, who I know fairly well, that the reason those hooks can come out and have locks is because Ford is going to bring to market accessories like Jerry cans and small tool boxes that will lock into those openings. I'm really hoping they come out with stuff like that. Even if it's premium priced if it fits well and is locked down I'd take one of each.
