Well, primarliy becasue the USA is the greatest country in the world. And COVID boredom. I have been lucky enough to keep going to work the whole time but will my shift rotation the free time was hard to keep up with. Ive had this old 1st gen S&W AR 22 for a while, never really shot it. It reeks of badasser now and has had a few 1000 dowrange out in the wilderness the last few weeks. Some time in the machine shop was required. I need a black Hogue grip to finish it off fullsizeoutput_c4d.jpg

You sure that's a first gen 15-22? They came with different hand guards. That looks like the hand guard on the newer versions. Either way, looks great! Looks way better than my 15-22.

What's the barrel set up? Did you cut the barrel and is that a real suppressor or did you but the barrel and pin/weld a fake can on it to get it back to length. I like the looks of that set up.

it's a fake supressor made for the 1st gen AR-22s that came without a fash hider. attaches with a set-screw. I drilled a small hole in the barrel to keep it set

it's a way to make the skinny barrel look less goofy and it's super-gear'tard tactical looking

Haha. Well it's .22 cal plastic gun with AR type configs. The bar was already set pretty low. Might as well go all out.

Damn, you've been around a long ass time haha. To be honest I never shoot my 22. Might still be scarred from the .22LR shortage of years past even though I have plenty of .22LR ammo haha. Awesome Shar pei by the way. looks like a big boy.

Yea, I was smart enought not to tell my Drill Sgt that I had one and already knew how to shoot & clean one. I rascue Sharpei, always have one or two on the estate. That is the tragically named Cinnamon in the truck, we are about to spread the ashes of another at a favorite fireriing spot out in the BLM

Well keep up the good work with your rescues. Hate when you have to watch one pass. Just isn't fair they don't get to live as long as we do.
