    Hi guys
Just wondering why Toyota Dealers ( not all) will install only stock shocks?
I have to go to Quebec side Dealer to have Bilstein 5100 shocks install on my Tac.
My home dealer which is in Ontario will not install except the stock ones, while another Toyota dealer 20 minutes away from Quebec will install whatever i wish too??
Though i am still waiting for a date for them to install those 5100.
He is waitng for his distributor to confirm when he s gone have those 5100 .
    Thanks
    Charly

    Update on that installation.
Yesterday i got an email with my quotation.
So with installation, they are asking 1694 dollars, which i will not have them done this job.
    This is crazy.
In Montreal, the same job is under a thousand dollars, and the same shocks Bilstein 5100.
I guess that yes, this Dealer agrees to put whatever we want ,but to pay that much more,no thanks.
Man i wish someone closer could just do that job for me,but i guess it will with on the other side of Montreal then. What worries me ,if something is wrong in a few weeks,it is a good hour and a half drive just to go.

New Navigation DVD/CD/TV/AV/Bluetooth Stereo and seat mod spacers, 1" hubcentric spacers, seat heaters....
the rear shocks are EZ to do, you can do them yourself with minimum tools and knowledge, thus saving some install costs.....the fronts are a bit harder, if your skills are not up to the task, front struts should cost you maybe $100 a side to install, most here would install them avoiding a third party involvement and expense...

Every Toyota dealer is privately owned. Even tho they may follow some rules from Toyota, they pretty much have the say in what they wan to do with their dealership. Most dealers do not want the hassle of installing a non OEM part. Who will warranty the part if it fails? Who is paying the tech to remove and install the new part? Even if the A/M warranty company is willing to pay...It's just easier for most of them to back away from installing parts outside of there part catalog.

So all those spacer lifts on the Tundras and Tacos in the dealership lobbies are factory parts? Doubting it..........stick with they just do what they want and there are no standard practices other than getting the most money out of people for the least product/service/care in return.
