Why you should not bring a TSB to the SA....

They initially refused mine. So I called Toyota. And would have to demonstrate the bed sagging and jump through hoops. Fair enough I understand that NOW and why. In the end I decided after reading about those Firestone Airbags they would be a better solution. Sparks does indeed suck since they are the only game in town. I bought mine in Charleston at N Charleston Toyota. I heard They WILL do the TSB without effort. But again I don't want it.

I bought my wife's last two vehicles at Sparks and may pass on the replacement for her RAV 4 because of them and instead look at a Sorrento or Escape for the wife. One of the reasons I won't buy a an extended Service contract is because I don't want to give the business to Sparks after the initial warranty expires. I LOVE Toyota,,but dislike the local dealership. That is the downside of living in a small beach community

It really is sad how little they care about repeat business. I dealt with Corporate too, even brought mine in with 400lbs in the bed and it bottomed out numerous times on the way there. They take it for a "test drive", refusing to allow me to come along. I argued it with the service manager, tells me they don't do customer ridealongs. So I tell him, interesting since you had no problem going withe me BEFORE I bought. They come back and tell me they see nothing wrong with it.

Anyway, I should've pushed further but I got sick of it and remembered what my grandfather always says, "The best way to get back at a business is to never go there again.". That's what I'll do.

WTF?? I took mine in for something today, and I didn't even have to ask the service manager to ride with me. I told him it was making a noise, and that was that - he got right up and went for a ride with me. It's amazing how much dealerships vary.

Service is what i am buying from now on. I will go to the service dept of where I am going to buy and ask people about their service. I am tired of runarounds. Charleston is a long way to go for service but if you have a Lexus or Infinity you have to go there anyway. Sparks is terrible I wish they had another Toyota dealer down by you or in Little River.

Thankfully I don;t want the TSB anymore. But i am going in for a vibration which is on a TSB and may or may not be the issue..I mean I am seriously looking at buy a friggin KIA Sorrento for the wife.....LOL

Bringing it in was a quick way of getting it done. The dealership gets paid by Toyota for the labor. They were more than happy, and so am I with my upgraded suspension
