Could be kinda cool...def different. If you go that far, might as well wrap the bottom bumper too. Maybe paint the grill surround black too...kinda sticks out against the hood, but than again, could be a bit much black

Probably do the front grill in black then too. Oh, Saturday morning to afternoon we are planning on doing it. Anyone else interested?

    Adults only! Jk...mod day kid!

@Roy...you probably know this already, but they recommend on that you use hood pins in conjunction with the factory hardware on the carbon fibre hood...

    http://www.andysautosport.com/toyota/2005_9999_tacoma/exterior/hoods/carbon_fiber_hoods/
Do you have to buy hood pins if you buy a carbon fiber hood? Hood pins are not necessary when buying a carbon fiber hood if it comes with an OEM metal latch, but we do recommend them as a safety precaution. They are sold separately on our website. If the carbon fiber hood does not come with a latch, hood pins are mandatory to be able to close your hood. We always suggest buying hood pins when purchasing any light-weight hood for peace of mind; you don't want any chance of your hood flying into your windshield while you're cruising along on the highway!

Saw a fella on here that had a CF hood for sale some time back. It had done strange type of peeling going on. Owner said it was caused by his truck always being in the sun. Something to think about.

    anyway... back on topic Jarod
I put the truck on jackstands, put the floor jack supporting the lower control arm, undo the two bolts holding it to the knuckle then just swing the knuckle out of the way (after you take the caliper and brake disc off that is).
Careful though you may rip the boots on the swaybar links so you may want to disconnect them first.

You took off the disc and caliper? this is first mention of this I've heard. Every write up I've read so far says to just undo the sway bar then either separate the top ball joint to make room, or loosen the saddle from the lower ball joint assembly to make a bit of room or remove it and swing the entire lower arm down to make room. some say you just need to remove the tie rod and sway bar only and shove the entire assembly down to squeeze the new one in. I think you might be onto it though. Lift the truck, support hub and separate from lower arm, let arm down, remove, reverse order. I'm sure it'll be clear once I'm in there
