    First time she drove my new 2010 TRD OR. I was surprised she said that. Thinking quickly, instead of trying to defend the poor underpowered Tacoma, I replied "Yes, hon, but there are 2 fixes for that called a header and a supercharger. Don't you think we should add them?":)

    She's misperceiving. The lumina is closer to the ground, and lower vehicles always give visual feedback of being faster.

    Also, this is why you don't get married: asking permission for toys is not on my agenda.

    A simple high flow air filter helps alot with throttle responce. This is def. what is making her feel like its slow (and alot of reviewers). As your trucks 0-60 is exactly the same if not faster than a V6 lumina, and you should feel it more because of the higher torque. (believe it or not I remember the some reviewers being shocked that the lumina was as fast as it was)

    Also you can tell her to floor it next time and watch her head fly against the headrest after the engine catches up.

    But yes, you def. had a great responce.
