Ive been using a old lifetime sit in kayak (lifetime lancer) for fishing the past month or so, its been a pain in the ass to use. My legs dont fold up the way they used to, and sitting inside a kayak is just not safe for me (cant use my legs too well)

I told her the other night that I wanted to get a sit on fishing kayak to be safer when fishing. If I were to flip in a sit on, im not stuck inside it because my legs are not as functional.

She said yes! So I went to the local walmart this morning because they said they had one that I wanted in stock. Got there right at open and the lady in sporting goods was pretty short about it.

I asked if she had a fishing kayak. Her response was "we dont have any kayaks!" I pointed to the stack of kayaks next to us, she said "I wasnt here yesterday"... OK, I dont care if you were here yesterday... your website says you have 1, can you please check it. After a few minutes I left without a kayak. Went home and did some searching around, dicks sporting goods just got a shipment of the upgraded version of what I was looking at from walmart! BUY BUY BUY!!!

So now I have to drive about 20 miles away to pick it up, but Im getting a real fishing kayak, and now my neighbor can use my old one to fish with me.

I got a lifetime teton angler. Its not the best kayak, but its got a good seat, and with the exception of 2 rod holders, its a completely blank canvas... no holes for storage bins, nothing. I can customize it to how I want it.

First step is to put on a real trolly anchor, my old kayak just has some metal eye bolts and some paracord I had laying around.
Then I plan to make a transom to mount a trolling motor to it.
