Wife wants one

A big positive for that color is it is VISIBLE. A safe color. I’ve been trying to convince my wife to get a 4R but she is pretty set on the RAV. She wants a smaller vehicle to get around town.

 

Apparently that color is available on other vehicles too:

 

We have a deposit on the one in the pictures I posted.

 

We hit a snag at the dealer Saturday. They took multiple deposits on the same truck and created their own personal bidding war.

Fuck that.

We are now looking at early next year before we actually pull the trigger on the new 4Runner.

 

Good for you guys for walking. That's some shady shit.

 

They called back yesterday asking if we wanted to put in an offer and advised me $10K over MSRP was the going rate. I kind of chuckled and hung up on them.

 

Sad, but true - especially with that color. The law of supply and demand in action.

The one at the closest dealership to me has theirs in that color listed for 69K.

 

Well, we just went and "built" her 2022 Nautical Blue Off Road 4Runner. Waiting for the dealer to get back to us with details.

 

We've got the all weather floor mats and rear cargo liner and the carpet floor mat set. The all weather rear liner doesn't hold anything in place. Plan on your groceries sliding around. I would have gone aftermarket on liners and mats had I known.

 

The rear liner sucks. Things slide around on it and the liner slides around itself.

 

Maybe just the floor mats then and go aftermarket on the cargo liner. She got the sliding rear cargo deck as well.

 

They have one at Victory Toyota in Seaside, California for 79k

 

This situation will pass, eventually. Until then, strive not to give in and rationalize paying MSRP or above.

 

Glad to see from this thread I'm officially priced out of ever getting a 4Runner... unless the used/new market returns to some sense of normal.
