Trying this low tech approach. What's the distance between the upper hitch hole and the trailing edge of the bumper?

I'll measure when I get home but it can be adjusted depending on which hitch pin hole you choose

It doesn't make it worse, it does extend it further out...the arm stacks right on top of the 2" factory receiver. If you are extreme rock crawling, I bet you could get it to hit. Or if you are hopping parking blocks at Lowe's...you'll be just fine.

Sweet! Looking forward to receiving the Wilco Hitchgate Solo that I bought during the recent Group Buy! Going to run it on daughter's '99 4Runner Limited. Will let us move the spare from roof rack to hitch and offers the benefit of lower center of gravity, and better accessibility, also swings out of the way of the rear hatch lift. This way she can actually use it without trying to pull 85 lbs of tire/wheel off roof rack. 3rd gen 4Runner will not accommodate a 285/75R16 or 285/70R17 or larger underneath vehicle.

The driveway pics are nice, but before I pull the trigger, I need to get your in-depth review with the loaded setup. full RotoPax, Hi-Lift mounted, wobbliness while on rough terrain, hinge strength, etc.
If I get this, this will be put through hell and back.
