ok so on my 06 i had 5100's set at 2.5 front, with an AAL in the rear and i liked the height on the truck and the ride as well...now i just picked up my new 2010 tacoma sport and it bugs me how small my truck seems at factory height...so i wanna do the same set up in the new truck...question is since the truck is so new and still way within the 36k warrenty, will doing the lift void anything as far as the warrenty goes? i was gunna wait a year or two before doing the lift, but i miss the way my old truck looked :(

A lift, some wheels, some tires, some performance, some cosmetic and then audio.
Someone can chime in but as long as it is dealer installed, then no...

Yes and no, obviously they won't replace aftermarket shocks if something goes wrong. But it shouldn't void anything, they have to prove that the new part is the cause of an issue if you have one.

I would get the rear TSB done first then put the billies and AAL on.

yes, your warranty is voided the minute you think about putting on aftermarket items, with that being said, I don't have a warranty and my truck is a perfect candidate for 5100's. :D
please don't take a thing I've said to heart, I'm kidding

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magnuson%E2%80%93Moss_Warranty_Act

"Warrantors cannot require that only branded parts be used with the product in order to retain the warranty.[2] This is commonly referred to as the "tie-in sales" provisions[3], and is frequently mentioned in the context of third-party computer parts, such as memory and hard drives."

They have to prove your aftermarket parts caused the damage you are trying to get fixed with the warranty.

thanks guys...yeah a local meineke put on my last lift, hopefully i can get them to do it again (it only cost me alittle over 200 for them to install everything) i just miss the way my old truck looked...i thought i could wait to mod, but who am i kidding:D... i guess it all depends on the dealership...before i took delivery of the truck i was adament that i wanted the spring tsb done, but they told me i need to "replicate the harsh ride problem first" so what am i supposed to load up the truck and drive em around in it??? wondering if i should call toyota itself instead...but that being said if the front billies are set at 2.5 like i had in my old setup and if i do get the spring tsb done do i really need an AAL? i do want some rake for towing, i'm wondering if a 1.5 AAL would be enough...and also if the fronts set at 2.5 does that cause any long term damage? i didnt have a problem with my other truck, but i only had the lift on for a year....thanks again guys...
