Will attention now prevent a carrier bearing problem

    Been reading several threads on the Tacoma carrier bearing, specifically to support cross member and vibration.

    If you are running a non-lifted truck and currently not experiencing carrier bearing vibration will replacing the OEM bearing bracket with some thing like the bearing drop bracken like sold by beefed Taco avoid a problem down the road? Or, is this just over reaction?

    Over reaction. I'm lifted, have a hair of CB takeoff shudder, I'm just going to break it. When it finally shits the bed, I'll go to a Tom Woods double cardan and eliminate the CB all together.
