Does anyone know if there is enough space in the crew cab of the newer Tacoma’s to fit an infant car seat? For those who may not know, these get mounted backwards and take up quite a bit of space. I want a taco but may have to go Colorado for the back seat space for my small kiddos.

Are you talking about access cab or double cab? Ie two or four door?

My kid’s car seat fits fine in my double cab.

If you're talking about the access cab (2 doors). It might be a tight fit.

You should be fine as far as space goes.

Yeah would need to clarify but I think you mean 4-door. I have a 7 month old with rear facing carrier in my 4-door TRDOR. I've kept it mounted in the center and it's been perfect, both front seats sit comfortably and both rear sides are usable. My wife is starting to have issues lifting the seat in and out from the center, but it's my truck not hers. That's my job :D

The front seat has to move up pretty far, I’m 5’9” and I don’t exactly sit straight up when I drive so I have to put it on the passenger side for me to drive comfortably.

I had a KeyFit 30 in mine when my daughter was a baby and have her rear facing in a Gracco 4Ever Extend2Fit right now (she's 14 months) sitting behind the passenger seat. The passenger seat has to come forward, but it's not so far forward that I can't have passengers.

I originally bought the Diono Radian RXT which is a common (and well liked) choice here but I found it wasn't a good fit for me personally and returned it for the Gracco.

There is no way that I would be able to put my rear facing car seat on the drivers side. I put in the middle and have to push the passenger side up a little. My kid is 13 months but a giant.

I’ve have the safety 1st guide 65, made for small cars. Decent space left up front, but not the most luxurious accommodations for the little guy.

My son is now 15 months and when he was an infant we had the Chicco Keyfit 30 on the passenger side. Not going to lie, it was extremely tight for us. I am about 6'3" and my wife is about 5'9". I couldn't sit in the passenger side seat for anything more than a few miles. Extremely tight for me.. My wife could fit, but her knees were in the dash. Now we have Gracco convertible car seats and they take up less room for sure.. Both my wife and I are comfortable riding shotgun but still not a ton of room.

Unless you drive with your knees to the steering wheel it’s going to be tight. I’m not tall and whenever I have someone sit back there and have to have the seat up I feel cramped. Those rear facing seats take up a lot of room and the seat can only go so far back. It will get the job done. It I wouldn’t want donit it as my daily driver

Yep will fit in a double cab, one primary reason I purchased my '18 DC is I couldn't carry my grandkids around in my '96 Tacoma 4x4.
