If i got the Bilstein 5100's (Front and Rear) Front set 2.5", add 1.5" Rear Leaf added 275/65/17's without rubbing?

Or do you think the front should be set to 1.75". I want to be able to tell its lifted a little but not kill my MPG. Don't want any bigger than 275/65 or 275/70's on it.

This a reasonable idea or how would you go about it?

Well if MPG is a big concern? Then just leave your truck stock, and drive it until the tires wear out.

Use all your additional money you have to pay off the truck as fast as you can.

Then get a good lift! And without a monthly loan to pay; you won't be so concerned about MPG! And you'll enjoy your truck a lot more!

well i'm not that concerned about it, just don't want it dropping to something ridiculous.

I've been going at the tire sizes all wrong. Such as i figured 275/65/17 would be bigger than 265/75 simply because stock size is 265 but its simply 265/70 stock size is the same with as 265/75 but the diameter is quite a bit larger.

well I'm running 35" tires and I get about 15 mpg. (After you calculate the diameter of the tires)
When I had the stock tires on I was getting 18 mpg. So a drop of 3 mpg isn't that bad.

Think of each tire size up, as one person riding in the truck with you. That's about the amount it will affect your mpg.

So my truck mpg is like I have 4 friends ride around with me.:D

Your original question? You'll more than likely need to trim some plastic. You may rub but it won't be all the time. just when turning and hitting bumps. (More noticeable in reverse)
