3rd gen comes with a full size OEM tire and wheel. OP replaced the spare with a larger one to match his current set of tires.

I bet it would be fine. A good test would be to shove a crayon in between the tread right at the closet part of the exhaust. Take a nice ride and also let it idle. If it melts you may have an issue.if not bring some paper and draw us a picture.

I don't know man, that looks a bit too close for my comfort. If it were mine, I would definitely look into doing something to put some distance and/or shielding between the exhaust pipe and your tire!

A 30psi tire can get to 250F going down the road due to friction/ambient temp/asphalt temp/etc. The more tire psi, the hotter it gets. Exhausts get to about 400-500F. You are fine OP

I took the spare tire mechanism off shifted it to the back bolts and drilled two holes further back gives you a little room and took a Hamer to the exhaust hanger to give me the room I needed

Anyone tried the header heat wrap around that portion of the exhaust that touches the spare tire? I’m gonna try that…
