I know it's far fetch, but with the tailgate from the 2016 fit onto the 2015 or are the beds that different now? I figure the camera connection won't work anymore, but I was just wondering if the dimensions themselves would work.

I really like the look of the '16 tailgate and I love the self opening part of it too =)

Not sure, i think someone would just have to try...

I was wondering the same about the rear bumper, love the location of the trailer harness and it seems to be bigger than the old style.

After leaving the dealership this weekend while getting my truck's 30k service, I checked out the '16s and have to admit, the tailgate is so much beefier (as it should) compared to my '14. FEELS like a real tailgate...

Man I wish it could but from what it looks like here. c7aea1f838e4d494c99890642767217e_163d3086a17d0ffcadeac2e699895ec571283a5a.jpg The bulge at the top of the tailgate wouldn't match up with the contour of the sides above the 2015 taillights. 96c2c29bdbd8b4a8acb2bdc55421fafc_8c7731063e4d5924ca1f451b8c995eb13694b6a2.jpg

    minimal...for now...
Thinking the same thing. Looked at one at a dealership and i feel like the angles on the 16 are slightly different than the older models, the way the curves match the new taillights might cause issues. But nobody will know until somebody does it. I'll happily accept a donated 16 tailgate for testing purposes :D

Even if it fits it won't look right with the bedsides and top cap.

Ya I see it now. The flare at the top would ruin the look overall since there isn't a flare on the '15

BUCKLE UP! It makes it harder for Aliens to pull you out of your Truck.
I don't think it would ruin the look.

You would probably have to use the entire bed from a 2016

doubt it only based on the fact of the "easy fall down" tail gate that opens slowly and thus a different hinge mounting point.

That stated the tailtage would probably physically fit without issue.

But realistically hit up relentless fab for the full tailgate skin.... got a steel one on mine and the tailgate is more beef than my buddies chevy 2500hd's tailgate.

    The better coast
Someone with a 2016 measure their tailgate length, height, and width.

Then a 2015 owner do the same.

    :notsure:

Won't be a definitive answer but will be closer than speculating on pictures that are different scales.

I think someone else asked this and the answer was no since the '16 bed is 1" taller.

I had the same thoughts about the rear bumper! I did a photoshop of it the other day and it looks pretty sweet! However I'm not too sure the rear fender would line up quite right with it. The 2016 rear fenders seem to flare up slightly to meet with the bumper for a higher clearance profile. Or at least it seems that way.

We'd have to figure out if mounting bracket is the same (I'd say it probably is) and then see who wants to drop whatever cost to try it out lol

I was thinking something like this. I just picked inferno cause it was the best rear end picture I found.

That looks like what I would want if indeed they are transplantable. Can you make it SuperWhite?

I just looked at a 16 offroad the other day. The tailgate is a good 3-4" thick. I was completely surprised at that given how thin the 2nd gens are.
